You will belong to the Supply chain organization within ABB Power Grids AB / HVDC with its main location in Ludvika and will be responsible for Main circuit equipment. Focusing on working with quality improvement and cost savings by challenging existing suppliers, identifying new possible suppliers and in close collaboration with our engineering department, challenge product design and manufacturing methods.
Your responsibilities:
You design and implement supplier strategies in both the short and the long-term using market, cost and risk analyzes.
You develop the supplier base with a focus on quality, TCO, lead-time and capacity
You ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates and directives that ABB requires from their suppliers.
You build strong international contacts both internally within ABB and with our suppliers. Travel in work both within Sweden and abroad is required.
You share ABB: basic security and integrity, which means that you take responsibility for your own actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and business operations.

Your background:
You have university degree within engineering or/and economy or have equivalent work experience and preferably 2-5 years of experience in strategic purchasing.
You have experience in industrial production.
You are driven by doing business, creating and maintaining long-term relationships and are clear in your communication with others in a multicultural environment,
You have experience of international cooperation preferably in project business environment,
As a person, you are fearless, driven and results-oriented and take responsibility for independently completing your assignments.
You are fluent in English.
