About the position
We are currently looking for a Category Manager Transportation (f/m/x) within the Corporate Purchasing Organization. This position will be based in Poland, Gothenburg or Hallbergmoos.
Responsibilities
In this role you will be part of our global international Indirect Purchasing organization and play a key role in improving our productivity and overall business. Optimize the purchasing of products and services related to Operations at our factories for the category Transportation. You will get global responsibility for purchase of transportation at KA, including Road, Air and Sea services.
You will be actively engaging and leading global and regional contract negotiations, communicate and cooperate with our suppliers and stakeholders. Other activities include development and implementation of category strategies, identify saving opportunities and lead the quarterly supplier review meetings.
Specific to the Category Manager:
Global responsibility scope for transportation and logistics for Road, Sea and Air services. You are responsible for the category budget and to drive the cross functional team to identify cost improvement opportunities, and secure implementation.
Find, implement, and manage preferred suppliers in accordance with business needs.
Lead the internal cross functional Category Council (CC) - Plan and perform regular meetings with the CC Co-ordinate/align Category Strategy in CC, and communicate to all stakeholders.
Mentor Buyers and/or stakeholders related to the Category.
Reports to the Global Indirect Purchasing Director.
Main Challenges
Meet the customers' ever-increasing demands and expectations for quality and technical innovation combined with reduced cost and security of supply.
Demonstrate the positive effects of consolidated control of indirect categories and win the confidence of internal stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, the candidate should have a (Bachelor or Master) degree and have experience in working with the category of logistic and transportation. Additionally, we would like to see:

Strong analytical and technical understanding.
Result-driven, flexible to travel and can set priorities.

Excellent business communication skills.

Flexible and comfortable in a rapidly changing and demanding matrix organization.
Being fluent in the English language is a must. Other languages such as Polish, French and German are beneficial.
