We are responsible for procurement of the cell mass production equipment and its relevant sub-categories.
Our goal is to enable a world-wide long-term partnerships with suppliers that will support Northvolt on its path towards >150 GWh of installed production capacity by 2030, this with state-of-the art manufacturing technology.
We are steering simultaneous engineering projects, strategic partnerships and supply chain localisation to Europe.
Your challenge, if you join us
You will manage equipment projects across all main Northvolt programmes for a dedicated process equipment category.
You will maintain business relationships with our current and future supply base.
You will be responsible for scouting of new potential suppliers & technology as well as for category strategy and business awarding.
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible to scout and evaluate potential suppliers and technologies, as well as to establish equipment category strategy per dedicated production process
Establish Should-Cost models for dedicated mass production equipment, focus on target costing, identify cost improvement ideas with suppliers and involve in costs estimations
Execute business awards, validate offers and proposals, perform and finalize technical, commercial & contract negotiations

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
A degree in Engineering, MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree
Working experience of at least 5 years in operational management consulting, or 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive industry
Experience from difficult bi-lateral & multi-cultural business relationship
Advanced skills in cost structure analysis & and ability to create bottom-up shadow calculations is a clear plus
Very good team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
Can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Qualities that we cherish are flexibility, sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humor
Willingness to travel for EU and oversea business trips. (up to 25% of time)
