HVDC is a business unit within the Hitachi ABB Power Grids. HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current), with headquarters in Ludvika – develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This Hitachi ABB Power Grids developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
The Global Supply Chain Management organization at HVDC is strengthening its ability to perform professionally and add competitive value services within purchasing and logistics. The Global SCM organization is responsible for an annual purchase of over 800 MUSD, delivers value and service to HVDC’s large infrastructure projects around the world. Your responsibilities
You will drive RFQ and negotiation for project in execution to ensure focus on TCO, quality and lead time.
Design and implement supplier strategies in both the short and the long-term using market, cost and risk analyzes.
Develop the supplier base with a focus on quality, TCO, lead-time and capacity.
Ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates and directives that Hitachi ABB Power Grids requires from their suppliers.
Build strong international contacts both internally within HVDC and Power Grids and with our suppliers. Travel in work both within Sweden and abroad is required.
Share Hitachi ABB Power Grids basic security and integrity, which means that you take responsibility for your own actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and business operations.
Your background
You have university degree within engineering or/and economy or have equivalent work experience and experience in strategic purchasing and project purchasing.
Preferably, you are familiar with and have experience of large projects.
You are driven by doing business, creating and maintaining long-term relationships and are clear in your communication with others in a multicultural environment.
As a person, you are fearless, driven and results-oriented and take responsibility for independently completing your assignments.
You are fluent in English.
