As a Category Specialist for Indirect Material and Services you are focal point of contact between suppliers and HVDC teams at Hitachi Energy, on commercial and procurement related activities. You will be responsible for executing category strategies on short and long terms that align with the HVDC Business Strategies and ensuring that purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
You will work together with Category Managers and play a key role in coordinating, collaborating and supporting HVDC and the global SCM organization in SCM related topics. Therefore, we are looking for you who have the ability to establish clear and transparent communication both internally, externally, and between different divisions, business units and functions.
Your Responsibilities
Support on the development and maintenance of the category supply base with focus on total cost, quality, lead time and capacity, to support our supply planning towards project deliveries.
Manage strategic relationships with suppliers and ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates and directives that Hitachi Energy requires from their suppliers.
Create/issue/maintain local standard agreements / frame agreements with suppliers, standard purchase terms and conditions in line with Business directives and guidelines.
Initiate purchase orders (PO) process to CSS (Shared Services), according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and handle invoices.

Your Background
Experience in operational/transactional purchasing/procurement and/or similar.
Experience in SAP S/4HANA.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
You are a team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills who likes to interact with other people.
You have good organizational skills and can handle several tasks in parallel.
If you have an academic degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business & Administration, or Engineering, it will be an advantage.
