We are looking for a Category Specialist who will be part of a Category Team which will be responsible for following categories in Europe Region; Transformers, MV Switchgears, Cables & Conductors, Electrical Installation Components, Connectors and Steel Structure.
In the role of Category Specialist, you will establish a new way of working with an active participation of Supply Chain Management in the projects. Your role and day will be filled with a variety of tasks in an international and multicultural environment.
You will be part of the Grid & Power Quality Solutions unit based in Västerås.

Your responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of regional sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional Category leader
Negotiate agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms and conditions
Conduct benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives
Monitor and expediting the order when needed
Confirm delivery with suppliers, monitor and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements
Request for quotation activities during tendering and execution
Regular follow-up with respective countries and suppliers
Effective implementation of e-Sourcing for categories

Your background
We are looking for a team player, who is driven, structured and has a result-oriented mindset
Technical interest and ability to solve complex problems independently
Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude
Professional experience in a supply chain function and in a project environment
You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or business administration
Fluency in English, written and spoken alike
