HVDC is a business unit within the Hitachi Energy. HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current), with headquarters in Ludvika – develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
We are looking for an engaging and driven person to join the SCM team in HVDC as a Category Specialist. Your responsibilities
As a Category Specialist, you support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies in close alignment with the category manager.
You will also be a part of the daily operational work with suppliers and other functions within HVDC.
Support the category manager in negotiations with main suppliers.
We work towards our Production plants so you will also be responsible to secure material procurement.
You will work together with a team of category managers, operational buyers, transport managers, logistic planners, supplier quality engineers and others to drive and ensure that the goods and material are procured, produced and delivered on budget, on time and with quality to our production and project sites worldwide.
You will have a key role interacting with stakeholders in tender, production and project execution, i.e., Engineering, R&D, service, tender management, project management, general management levels at HVDC and the global SCM organization.
You ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates and directives that Hitachi Energy requires of its suppliers.
You build strong international contacts both internally within HVDC and with our suppliers. Travel at work both within Sweden and abroad is required for this role.
Your background
You have an academic degree in a relevant field: Engineering, Business & Administration, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience in procurement/supply chain for at least 2-3 years.
Genuinely interested in technical components and systems.
For this role it requires that you are unpretentious for the job requires that you need to do everything from strategies work to material follow-up to working with your material in our ERP system (SAP).
You are a team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills who likes to interact with other people.
You are used to a multicultural and challenging global business environment and can handle several tasks in parallel.
Described as energetic, motivated and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage problem that may occur.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
We will focus a lot on your personality.
