Category Specialist

ValueOne is looking for a Category Specialist for a consultant assignment at manufacturing company in Västerås. The assignment is to start in August.

The role  

As Category Specialist you will be responsible for developing processes for category management. You are going to secure that the company’s master data is updated in the system and that the digitalized processes for maintaining these are well defined. After some time, you drive your own smaller category in terms of strategy implementation, risk management, supplier management, lead negotiations and driving a cross-functional category team.

Experience and competencies  

The role requires a degree in engineering or business field with focus on Supply Chain Management. The person we are looking for should have strong analytical skills and good learning capability. You have strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. You are a self-driven and result-oriented team player that likes to be in a global environment with different cultures and enjoy working in a high pace environment. You have high interest in learning and understanding purchasing tools and practices with advanced Excel knowledge and preferably skilled in Power BI. Experience from working in SAP, SAP Ariba or other equivalent systems is a plus. You have high interest in learning and developing in the sourcing area, commercially but also to build knowledge in industrial commodities (example gears, mechanical, cable and harness, plastic) and to understand the core manufacturing processes. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Swedish is meritorious.
