Are you a recent graduate in a field such as Supply Chain management, Business Administration, or Engineering? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for an engaging and driven person to join the Supply Chain Management team in HVDC as a Category Specialist.
HVDC is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, headquartered in Ludvika, Sweden. HVDC develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. The HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables, and it is also used to connect power systems.
As a Category Specialist, you support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies in close alignment with the Category Manager. You will also be a part of the daily operational work with suppliers and other functions within HVDC. For this role, it is essential that you are unpretentious, since the job requires that you do everything from strategies work to material follow-up to working with your material in our ERP system (SAP).

Your Responsibilities
Support the Category Manager in negotiations with main suppliers.
Secure material procurement (we work towards our Production plants so you will also be responsible for placing orders, follow up deliveries and KPIs related to operational procurement).
Work together with supply chain functions and other stakeholders to drive and ensure that the goods and material are procured, produced, and delivered on budget, on time, with quality to our production and project sites worldwide.
Play a key role interacting with stakeholders in tender, production, and project execution.
Ensure that our suppliers comply with the laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives that Hitachi Energy requires of its suppliers.
Your Background
You have an academic degree in a relevant field: Supply Chain Management, Business & Administration, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
Work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain and/or experience in ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage (but not a requirement).
Interest in technical components and systems.
You are a team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills who likes to interact with other people.
You have good organizational skills and can handle several tasks in parallel.
Energetic, motivated, and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage problem that may occur.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Swedish or any other language is considered an additional asset.
Additional Information
The placement for this role is Ludvika, Sweden, with possibilities of some remote work. Business travel both within Sweden and abroad is required for this role.
