Category/Project Manager in Corporate Development Purchasing, Orkla ASA Orkla's top management have initiated a strategic sourcing program with the objective of realizing inter-company synergies through best practice sharing and/or exploitation of buying power throughout the Orkla Group. Program management is headed by the newly established, Corporate Development Purchasing (CDP). Corporate Development Purchasing currently consists of 15 persons and we are now expanding with new Category/Project Managers. Your home base could be Oslo or Stockholm. You will work with strategic sourcing within a category (examples of categories are: dairy products, grain based products, transportation & warehousing, paper-based packaging, media etc) across all companies in Orkla ASA. You will assist and work together with the Category Manager to execute the strategic sourcing of the purchasing spends in the sourcing groups. Main tasks: The Category/Project Manager is responsible for: . Managing cross-divisional sourcing projects with the objective of realizing synergies through best practice sharing and/or exploitation of buying power throughout the Orkla Group. . A portfolio of sourcing groups/projects in areas such as Energy, Facility Management, Employee Service. . Within the defined area of responsibility, identify improvement opportunities, form project teams of key company representatives, manage team effort in efficient work processes in execution phase and ensure that identified improvements are implemented. Project teams typically consist of 5-15 international company representatives. Close cooperation with these representatives implies sometimes extensive international travel. This position will report to Sector/ Senior Project Manager Your qualifications: You have an academic background preferably MBA, MSc or equivalent and a minimum of 2-4 years experience in project management from a consulting company, however previous experience with similar sourcing processes is not a prerequisite. Your personal characteristics could include: . A strong analytical capability . Ambition and proven track record of delivering results . A comfort and experience with complex numerical problem solving . Experience with complex change management processes . Organization and planning focus while working under tight time constraints . A team player however the ability to adapt to various different organisational cultures . A leader and team player with the ability to motivate and build bridges between stakeholders .
