Arbetsuppgifter

The CVMD Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department supports lead identification and optimisation by providing data and advice to research projects with respect to ADME and PK properties to guide drug design. A strong emphasize is made on predicting human pharmacokinetics and translating animal PK-PD relationships to human. The key objective is to minimize attrition during the development Phase due to inappropriate pharmacokinetic properties and to minimize drug - drug interactions.

We are now seeking a contractor within vitro metabolism skills to the Drug Metabolism & Disposition team. The team is responsible for initiating, planning and carrying out both screening and in depth evaluations of vitro metabolism and transporter studies in projects in drug discovery to predict human pharmacokinetics using several different in vitro techniques deploying cell fractions, cultured cells but also tissue slices.

Utbildning/erfarenhet

- You should have an MSc in Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacokinetics, Biochemistry or Biology
- Experience in in vitro metabolism
- Industrial experience will be an advantage
- You have good communication, interpersonal and team working skills, including cross-cultural sensitivity
- Work experience in cell culture of mammalian cells
- Work with tissue and cell fractions
- Sample analysis with LC-MSMS
- Immunohistochemical staining
- qPCR techniques
