IKEA Torsvik includes three different units (CDC, DC and CPU), and serves the countries Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland with our distribution services. At our site we are approximately 1200 co-workers, and now we are looking for a Central Fulfilment Unit Manager to join our fantastic team at our Customer Distribution Centre (CDC)!
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
The job is about reaching excellence in running CDC operations with the customer in focus and the total supply chain in mind. Lead, coach and develop an organization which delivers ordered goods within the agreed time and in the agreed quality to the lowest possible operational costs.
Create a continuous improvement culture within the organization and maintain a high level of engagement and commitment among co-workers, creating a great place to work.
You will have approximately 4-6 direct reports and be responsible for leading the CDC unit management team. You will report to the Site manager and also be part of the site management team.
As unit manager you will:
Lead, coach and develop a high performing CDC organization (communication, flexibility, performance culture, competence development, succession planning, sustainability etc.)
Secure the warehousing processes with health and safety as well as quality in top of mind.
Be responsible for budget and results for the CDC and secure that benchmarking and improvement process are in place.
Secure that IKEA rules and country specific laws and regulations are followed (eg. safety & security, employment, unions relations; etc.)
Facilitate communication and cooperation with all stakeholders involved in Customer Fulfilment/Retail
Secure necessary information flow and effective communication throughout the organization.



WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
To be successful in this position we see that you are experienced in working in a leading position within a diverse environment, managing business processes and have the ability to get things done. You have the desire to question current ways of working and to strive for quick, lean and simple solutions with an entrepreneurial spirit. To thrive and succeed in the role you need to:
Have a university degree (Economics, Logistic or similar) or equivalent working experience and proven performance in Retail/Supply Chain Management
Have minimum 3 years working experience in a higher management position (Retail, Supply Chain or related)
Be fluent in English (both verbally and written)

Have great communication skills and be able to build trustful relationships and gain commitments with people on different levels in a diverse and international environment
Have great coaching and managing skills, leading and developing business through people
Be self-driven, well organized, able to take initiative and have a problem-solving approach
Be able to lead, develop and inspire an organization in a fast-changing environment and navigate through this uncharted territory with many uncertainties and unknowns.
