Certification and Compliance Engineer

The department Business Office is organized within Complete Vehicle, which is a part of Group Trucks Technology. Complete Vehicle plays an important role in securing that our products meet intended performance and feature readiness – contributing to the success and productivity for our customers! Business Office bring the complete vehicle perspective together and consolidate vehicle readiness – not only to support readiness at introduction, but also to secure that our products and solutions are high-performing, compliant, and sustainable over their intended lifecycle.

We are looking for a certification and compliance engineer within the global CV Certification and Compliance department. The Certification and compliance team in Sweden includes around 11 persons working with different responsible areas. The team’s mission is to have a holistic view with the complete products life cycle in mind. The position offers a stimulating and dynamic work environment, with a high amount of interaction with colleagues throughout the Volvo Group, external partners and authorities on a global level.
The Certification and Compliance team in GOT are responsible to deliver Type Approval certificates for FH, FM, FMX and platform system developed in Gothenburg.


Role Description


As a member of Certification & Compliance team, you will have responsibility of several certification areas. You will be involved in many projects as certification scope covering the complete vehicle. You will have a network both internally GTT but also towards our type approval authorities and to some extent our Market Companies. You are recognized in the organization as an important stakeholder as our task is to secure that we can issue valid type approval. Follow and secure compliance in our areas of responsibility.


Who are you?


You are interested in the regulation area. You like to take initiative and drive tasks on your own. You have a structured way of working and the ability to plan complex tasks. You are a true team player, self-driven with positive, global and problem-solving mind-set and you possess excellent communication skills. You feel confident in hosting meetings both internal and external with authorities.
You can build arguments and negotiate with external authorities. You have truck knowledge and are familiar with our IT system e.g. Kola, EDB.
