Alstom the global leader in smart and sustainable mobility is looking for an Certification & Authorization Engineer to be based in Stockholm
What will you do?
You will define and execute the Certification and Authorization project plan to obtain the Authorization to Put into Service (APIS) of the On-board or Trackside ETCS signalling sub-system by the relevant National Authorities. For that purpose, the compliance with the European Technical Specifications for Interoperability or with the specific national requirements must be assessed by different external independent entities.
Your main task will be to coordinate all activities and collection of required deliverables & means of proof with the various internal and external project stakeholders to obtain the necessary certificates and authorizations for the project.
Working with C&A is a great way to gain experience of multiple aspects of the railway industry. Through your work you will interact with multiple contacts internally in the company as well as externally with authorities, clients, and third-party assessment bodies.
Main Responsibilities?
Defining and executing the Certification & Authorization Project Plan
Defining the Project Certification & Authorization applicable legal referential and associated requirements
Planning all the C&A-related activities in coordination with the Project team based on existing standards, regulations and return on experience from previous or similar projects
Preparing the procurement of external assessment services: creation of call for tender documents based on the defined scope of assessment, conducting the tender process, evaluation of tenders, contract drafting and negotiations with assessors in collaboration with the purchasing department
Monitoring the development of evidence or means of proofs with the relevant stakeholders, by conducting regular workshops with various departments and sub-contractors
Organizing and managing the assessment process with external assessors
Compiling the Certification and Authorization dossiers: definition of the content, compliance to formal requirements, file the official authorization requests towards European or National authorities
Who are you?
MSc in engineering or equivalence of relevant experience
Experience of Certification & Authorization process in Railways is positive but not a necessity
Knowledge of Railways/Signalling systems and products is positive but not a necessity
Rigorous in the respect of processes and regulations, while keeping a result-oriented focus ,
Team Player
Autonomous and Proactive
Good communication and coordination skills
Fluent in English (oral & written); Other languages are an asset
