Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
New products will be introduced the coming years like the new range of electrified trucks and buses. A lot of work with systems leading the way to automated vehicles are also on its way to be introduced.
This in combination with already existing systems with software’s for securing correct performance over time requires well established methods for software updates and securing a high level of Cyber Security.
The department Vehicle Regulations and Standards (YDR) is an important part in securing vehicles and systems complying with Cyber Security and Soft Ware updates regulations.
We are now searching for a new colleague that can join our engaged and high skilled team within regulations and certifications for Software updates and Cyber Security. You will get the advantage to work with state of the art technology, cross functional work with our design departments, and also externally with Technical Services and authorities.
What we do
Scania Vehicle Regulations and Standards – Road Safety (YDRS) is responsible for:
• Certification of vehicles and Systems for Safety regulations
• Support R&D designers with interpretation of safety regulations
• Following the development of Safety Regulations
• Technical lobbying for Safety Regulations
In this role you will also work with Vehicle Regulations – Complete Vehicles and Standards (YDRC).
Complete Vehicles and Standards are responsible for:
• Whole Vehicle Type Approval
• Regulations and certification Management Systems for Software updates Cyber Security
• Coordinating internal and external standardisation work
• Export Control
• Material compliance
A common task for the groups are discussions and collaboration with third party organisations for vehicle and system approvals. The groups within Vehicle Regulations are characterized by openness and a supportive mindset.
Your role
• You will work in a dedicated team with participants from the Road Safety team and Complete Vehicle and Standards lead by the departments Senior Technical Advisor
• Following regulations for Cyber Security and Software updates, both global and national
• Certification of management systems for Cyber Security and Software updates
• Vehicle certification of Cyber Security and Software updates
• Support design departments in regulatory issues for Cyber Security and Software updates
Your profile
You have a technical degree of at least bachelor level or equivalent. Communication is very important and we work with our cross-functional teams on a daily basis.
You need to be able to handle documentation for certification efficiently, and at the same time be able to work with tasks that are strategic for these areas.
As your tasks will consist of regulation and certification work together with design groups, experience from working in development projects are beneficial.
