Take the opportunity to join the exciting change journey Powertrain Engineering (PE) is embarking on when creating the future powertrains for our customers.
This is us, your new colleagues at PE
We are proud product owners of components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase.
We stand in front of significant challenges – where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest. In this position, you will be part of an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We always use customer satisfaction as the ultimate performance measurement.
The Certification & Compliance (C&C) Department at Powertrain Engineering is a global team of around 35 professionals with presence in Sweden, France, USA and Brazil. Its mission is to drive all powertrain certification and compliance activities to ensure that our products are fulfilling all corresponding legal requirements and are compliant both at the time of certification and over time. These are key activities to be able to sell our products, minimize risk of non-compliance issues as well as contributing to a better environment!
We are now looking to expand our team with a Certification leader, focusing both on “well-known” technologies such as combustion engines, but also on electromobility components.
Responsibilities / Main tasks
In your role, you will represent C&C in major engine and electromobility product development projects. You will handle all C&C activities in the project, e.g. budget, time plans, type approval authority contacts, certification preparation, documentation and execution. You will help projects to clarify legislation and certification related requirements. You will also become certification product owner for one or several products, such as engines, gearboxes and electromobility components, taking ownership of certification and compliance for the complete lifecycle of the product. It may sound like a big task, and it is. But we have a great team of skilled colleagues that are here to support you!
This is a varied role that requires both expert certification & compliance knowledge, project management skills, handling complex documentation and the ability to interact and network with a lot of different people and functions. Also, being the interface towards the authorities, the position requires a strong morale and high integrity. Courage is needed to be up front and tell the project teams if the status of a project/product is not “up to standard”/ready for certification.

You are holding a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering
>5 years of technical work experience from the automotive business
Beneficial if you have experience from engine and/or electromobility related regulation and certification
