Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Role Overview
The Certification Managers report to the Project Certification Manager and have broad responsibility for the definition, management and execution of given technical sub-sets of the certification programme.
As a part of the certification team you will be broadly discharging the responsibilities on behalf of the Head of Airworthiness in line with EASA Regulation IR 21.A.239(a). You will interface directly with engineering department certification specialists as well as other company functions such as Manufacturing, Operations, Flight Test and Supply Chain Management.
You will also actively participate as a part of the airworthiness function to program/technical reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings and airworthiness/certification meetings with the authorities, ensuring the certification programme follows the regulatory requirements and our design organisation handbook. You will also ensure schedule adherence to the certification programme and play an active part in design reviews to meet certification, cost, and schedule goals.
Qualifications & Experience

Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical similar discipline, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years engineering and/or certification experience in an aerospace OEM company environment or for an aerospace regulatory authority. This should include experience with classical propulsion systems integration & certification as well as adjacent mechanical systems such as environmental control systems, pneumatics systems, ice/rain protection systems and/or landing gear systems,

Experience with aircraft development programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25),

Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.

Direct experience with certification programme planning & execution (i.e. setting & negotiating certification basis, developing & executing certification programme, working with regulatory authority/authorities to obtain type certification).

Working knowledge of systems & safety engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English.
