The group Fluid Dynamics and Acoustic Simulation at Scania R&D in Södertälje is responsible for performing and developing simulations with the focus on future Scania exhaust aftertreatment systems. The group is included in the recently started department NX, Emissions solutions, with the assignment to establish Scania as a supplier of world class exhaust aftertreatment systems within VW Truck & Bus. Customers are found internally as well as outside of Scania.
The group consists of 10 employees; CFD- and acoustic engineers. The CFD team is now looking to fill a position previously held by an engineer changing positions internally at Scania.
The Multidisciplinary Simulation group NXPS at Chassis Development is looking for a simulation engineer within the field of fluid mechanics. The group strives to provide full understanding of acoustics and internal flow of engine breathing components, HVAC and encapsulation. The combined expertise and cross-functional work in three different disciplines allows NXPS to continuously improve the Scania products. Work is conducted in close cooperation with our internal customers within the R&D organization.
As a CFD engineer, you will be a member of the Internal Flow team and will be facing exciting challenges where you will be responsible of solving complex systems and suggesting solutions such as change of design. Your task includes planning and conducting a complete CFD workflow, from initial discussions with the customer to results presentation. You will work with various design groups at Scania and will get a thorough understanding of our products.
Your profile
You have a M.Sc. or equivalent with strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. You have and at least 5 years of experience in CFD calculations. Skills in pre-processing tools (ANSA) and solid experience in the CFD solver STAR-CCM+ is preferred. You are an analytic and well organized team-player driven by quality awareness. Skills in communication, ability to present a complex issue and results in an educational way are some of your strengths. Experience of and interest in vehicle technology is an advantage.
