Welcome to Go-Ahead Nordic! We are a new player in public transport in the Nordic market but with long experience and a lot of know-how in the back.
The Go-Ahead Group is the UK's largest railway operator and the largest bus operator in London. Every year we carry over one billion trips. Go-Ahead Nordic is the umbrella organization for the Group's investments in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The Group is also active in Germany, Ireland and Singapore.

Go-Ahead group has a strategy of targeted focused international expansion. We have in recent years established a business in Germany, Singapore, Ireland and in October 2018, the Norwegian Rail Directorate awarded Go-Ahead Nordic the first competitively tendered rail services in the country.
The head office is located in Malmö and the team consist of a good variety of people with many years of experience within the industry. Go-Ahead Nordic focuses on locally delivered services, through a devolved and empowered management structure, building strong relationships with local clients. This is an approach we have adopted in both the UK and in our international operations. Our objective is to deliver local transport solutions, in partnership, supported by the experience and knowledge that comes from being part of a large transport group.

This role is a mixture of strategy as well as hands-on development, set in a highly varied and complex setting. Your business and financial sense must therefore be impeccable and your interpersonal skills likewise. You will be entrusted to both lead and develop the Go-Ahead Nordics Finance team, by utilizing your management and business skills. Your close collaboration with the Head of Accounting and Reporting will ensure accuracy in tendering, reporting, budgeting and forecasting. New ideas and initiatives will be challenged together with the local management.
You will act as a key member of the Management team, directly reporting to the CEO, and assume a strategic role in the overall management of Go-Ahead Nordic. The position is based at the Nordic headquarters in Malmö.
Main responsibilities:
• Ensure the finance function acts as a partner to the business, supporting and participating in decision-making to support business strategies.
• Manage the relationship with Group Finance, external and internal auditors and implement requirements or recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure that the finance function provides accurate and realistic management information and commentary on performance against agreed criteria, including comprehensive examination of all risks. Manage the analysis and presentation process of periodic results to the Finance and other Directors including schedules for the periodic Board Report.
• Manage the corporate planning and forecasting processes.
• Manage the financial aspects of the company’s tendering program including the preparation of tender bids and the appraisal of tender results.
• Ensure that effective financial controls and procedures are in place across the business.
• Ensure the completion of annual statutory accounts and interim financial reports to Group.
Personal qualities and background
You are a person who is passionate about business and finance and enjoys a role with broad responsibility. You have a suitable university degree and experience of a similar role in an international environment. You define yourself as a communicative, yet analytical leader with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on building and maintaining a high level of trust amongst all parties you interact with. Your can-do attitude will further strengthen your dedication to the work as well as encourage strategic business thinking, whenever problems occur. As a person you are skilled in establishing relationships and forming internal alliances. You have a general understanding of accounting (preferably IFRS) and you are fluent in both spoken and written English. Your Excel skills are great and experience of working with a large, modern ERP-system is relevant.
