We are seeking a talented, driven and high-integrity financial leader who will develop our Finance team to the next stage, ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting to our parent company, Danaher, partner with the HemoCue leadership team to drive profitable growth, lead cost reduction, and also add value through working capital management. This position will also be involved in finance due diligence of M&A projects. A critical success factor will be to drive material improvements of the key finance processes.
This individual will be responsible for leading the global Finance organization of HemoCue and preparing/analyzing financial results and final financial statements. Drive improvement of operating results and implement the proper tracking and reporting processes. This person will coordinate and prepare the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures, and analyze/report variances. Through sound fiscal management, the CFO will be a key contributor to the continuous improvement of financial related and other process.

With what positions would the incumbent interact on a regular basis (internal and external)?
Position would heavily interact with President of HemoCue and will be member of HemoCue’s senior leadership team. Position works closely with all members of the HemoCue senior management team. Finally the position maintains close relationship with CFO at Radiometer.

What kinds of authority will the incumbent have?
The position will have authority to improve processes around financial forecasting and reporting. Position has responsibility for implementation of internal (including SOX) controls. Position works closely with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, with operations and purchasing teams to improve manufacturing and distribution costs. Position has significant authority on AR, AP and inventory management to drive targeted working capital results.

Financial Analysis / Business Partner
Maintain and improve forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivate actions to insure it hits agreed upon targets
Develop and maintain reporting processes that accurately describe performance of key business and financial parameters
Work closely with HemoCue President and senior leadership team in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify opportunities, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions
Drive margin expansion/cost reduction actions to deliver budget
Lead financial portion of the strategic planning process, ensure that results from initiatives are properly scoped, presented, tracked and reported
Generate the annual financial budget
Internal Control Systems/Compliance Leader
Help set the strong compliance tone in the organization
Develop and maintain appropriate internal controls across all global operations
Achieve satisfactory financial audit results by external and internal auditors
Eliminate breaches of internal controls and ensure global compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and ACP
Working Capital Reduction
Provide leadership, direction and processes to global operating unit leaders to drive significant WC improvements
Monitor WC improvement results and, where appropriate, ensure that effective countermeasures are developed and implemented
Drive actions to change and ensure results yield desired outcome.
Financial Reporting
Accurate and timely reporting of all global operating unit financials for HemoCue
Accurate and timely coordination of all global operating unit forecasts for HemoCue
Minimize surprises through effective prevention and early communications
Lead financial portion of the strategic planning process, ensure that results from initiatives are properly scoped, presented, tracked and reported
Generate the annual financial budget
Acquisitions
Assist in the financial evaluation of potential acquisition targets
Lead financial due diligence for target acquisitions
Lead the integration process for “back office” functions
People Development / Process Improvement
Develop finance personnel to grow professionally
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with HemoCue President and senior leadership team
Continuously improve transactional and closing processes from a time, accuracy and productivity perspective.
Implement DBS Tools to drive improvements in time, accuracy and resources.
Constantly look for “best practices” concepts in conjunction with DBS.
Key Competencies/Experience
5+ years of global financial leadership experience
Track record of driving successful process improvements
Experience from Danaher finance leadership position desirable
Proficiency in MS Office, Top tier ERP experience desirable
Travel, mostly International is required ranging from 10% - 20%
