Key Responsibilities
As a Windfarm Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational integrity and performance of the wind farms. Your role will include but not limited to the following:
Operational Oversight: Conduct quarterly site inspections, including wind turbines, to ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and in compliance with CGNEE’s operational standards.
Safety Leadership and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and local regulations. Maintain the site safety files for each wind farm and manage statutory inspections to guarantee compliance with industry standards.
Contract and Vendor Management: Oversee contractual relationships with turbine O&M providers, ensuring adherence to performance agreements. Manage competitive pricing processes for required work and exercise technical and commercial oversight of subcontractors.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze wind farm production, performance data, and alarms, responding proactively to malfunctions.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and submit monthly reports covering production, availability, and outage data. Collaborate closely with the Asset Manager to manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, residents, local authorities, and other third parties.
Self-Leadership: Lead by example, providing guidance and support to team members, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards. Take initiative to resolve challenges, ensuring tasks are driven to completion.
Travel & Onsite Presence: Regular travel to CGNEE wind farm sites in Sweden as required, taking a hands-on approach to site management when necessary.
Ad-hoc Responsibilities: Undertake other duties or responsibilities as assigned, supporting the overall goals of the Operations team.
Profiles we are looking for:
Qualifications: A qualification in wind technology, engineering, or a related field (preferably at technician level or higher).
Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in wind farm operations, with a track record of successful site management.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of wind farm systems, operations, and maintenance practices. Experience in managing wind turbine O&M contracts is preferred. Experience with Vestas wind technology is also a plus.
Collaborative Spirit: Goal-oriented and dynamic team player who can motivate others effectively.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A quick learner who approaches unfamiliar situations with curiosity and confidence.
Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and oversee various projects.
Communication Skills: Fluent in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with wind farm monitoring or maintenance software is a plus.
