Channel Development Manager
Universal Robots is a global leader in collaborative robots. Through our pioneering cobot products, we are making automation possible for businesses of all sizes, all over the world. We are experiencing interest and a big potential in the Swedish market and is therefore now looking for a new colleague to join us to continue the steep growth rate in Universal Robots.
We sell our products through distributors, so you will work in close collaboration with these. Your responsibility is to ensure revenue growth in your territory, which you do through engaging with potential customers. Our primary customers are small and medium sized production companies of all kinds.
As a Channel Development Manager you are responsible for planning, implementing, managing and advising on all industry specific sales and customer relationship management activities, predominantly in Sweden. This includes direct responsibility for sales and marketing planning and analytics, financial performance, business services, and reporting.
Primary tasks in your role will be to:
Groom channels by identifying, developing, coaching, training and managing distributors, partners and integrators in designated area
Seek out sales opportunities by qualifying accounts and initiating projects
Reach out to and set up meetings with potential customers
Work with local distributors to bring home orders
Participate in tradeshows, events or fairs
The role requires you to be both strong in working independently and a great team player. Reporting directly to the Area Sales Manager for Northern Europe, you plan your own time and efforts with support and assistance from the team in sales region. You will become part of a big international organization with colleagues all around the globe.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education
Most important is your drive and personality. If you have the will, energy and passion – together we will secure the success. You need to have some sales and business development experience. We would expect you to have:
A strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to the end users
Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management etc.
Business acumen that you can apply on different decision levels from senior management level to technical support
Experience in industrial automation, solution/ project sales involving technical products would be an advantage. Furthermore, experience with indirect sales to distributors is a must.
