What you will do
Our Channel Strategist has extended experience of strategic use of different channels and the digital communication landscape. You can identify what and how channels are being used and develop the channel roadmap through audit and in cooperation with internal stakeholders. You have the ability of aligning channels to target groups in an engaging way and understand the importance of a good mix of alternative ways of communicating. You know how to establish a single source of truth where employees go for the most up-to-date and accurate information and real-time conversations. 

Moreover, you have a deep understanding of data, analytics and governance and how to translate communication channel strategy to technical functionality and briefs, continuously evaluating and refining chosen technical solutions. This includes contacts with suppliers and basic procurement procedures.
With a high degree of collaboration, you drive development and consistent implementation of the channels, supporting our corporate strategy and core values, globally. You have profound experience of creating strategies and overseeing the end-to-end process from development to implementation and evaluation, mobilising people and teams to actions. You develop thought-leadership positions to strengthen employee engagement and the Volvo Car brand. You will work closely to our Communication Teams and other stakeholders throughout the company and support them with high level communication channel guidance.

Further, you will play an important role in building the best employee communication team, staying on top of market trends and best practice from other lines of businesses to learn from the ones in the forefront and implement working methods and tools that will create employee engagement. 

Who you are
We are looking for a social and passionate communications professional. You have deep experience in earned communication or journalism and a proven track record of orchestrating different channels to deliver the desired business outcome. You thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and are at ease adapting to changes and business prioritisation. You are a high-level and senior project leader who can be held accountable for your deliveries and drive cross functional change.

Qualifications
•    BA / BSc in communication, journalism or equivalent experience
•    A strategic and creative approach to communication planning, with an ability to manage a range of projects, balancing quality and speed
•    Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal and inter-departmental
•    A strong ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders and internal colleagues is a must
•    Deep understanding of the digital communication landscape, Data Analytics and Agile principles and methodology
