Charging analytics engineer, E-mobility Analytics

The E-mobility Analytics function exists to accelerate volume growth by acting as the advisory for the transition to electrified transport systems for our customers. To be successful, we believe in combining knowledge within transport operations, electric vehicles, charging and energy into profitable and sustainable solutions. We are now looking for an additional team member, focusing on charging capabilities, to join us on this journey.
Work description
In this new role you will help build the centre of excellence within E-mobility analytics, supporting the competence of giving our customers a complete solution. This role will have focus on the charging aspects of the analysis, mainly the charging infrastructure setup and capacity.
You will be turning big data into customer value focused on charging requirements while supporting our market divisions with customer cases together with the E-mobility team. This role will also include very close cooperation with Scania’s charging solution function.
Tasks include
• Draft and support the development of prototype tools and methods to understand and analyze charging needs and capabilities.
• Act as an expert user and provide input to development teams, identify flaws and define the necessary improvements for future EV/charging solutions sales tools.
• Use the internal cross-functional knowledge to develop the charging aspect as a key part of the e-mobility analytics toolbox.
• Present results in a professional manner as an integrated part of the complete analysis offering.
Your profile
You are a curious self-starter who likes to work with both technology and business development, close to customers in a high paced environment. You have an open mind and enjoy building things in a context where the road forward is not always clear. You enjoy taking initiative and are not afraid to try new things.
Pioneering spirit and genuine interest in electrification is a requirement. You have a university degree in engineering or technical sustainability, for example in mecha-tronics, electronics or similar. 2-4 years of relevant work experience is a requirement to be able to quickly understand the context. This could be a broad number of fields, for example process monitoring systems development, control or automation engineering, or - of course - charging infrastructure.
Having a system understanding, both towards the end user/customer as well as the business aspect, will be valuable in this role.
As you will be working with big data in different aspects, having the ability to see potential ways of leveraging this will be beneficial, additionally competence with analytics, simulation or calculation will be useful. A basic understanding of EVs, electronics and charging is vital.
Being able to think strategically and see the business and customer perspective is also important in this role, thus having the ability to switch between the details and see the big picture will also be a key quality.
As presenting your results to the customer is a key part of the role, being able to communicate clearly and to efficiently convey your message are important skills. You should also master English with high proficiency.
