Responsibilities: Our purchasing professionals have the opportunity to work on and provide leadership to many sourcing projects in support of the different Business Lines (Excavators, Road Machinery, Hauler and Loaders and Compact Equipment), Customer Support, Cabs and Components to support and deliver specific products and projects. You will be responsible for the overall management and coordinate implementation of sourcing strategies for the cross Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) commodities, using the Volvo CE sourcing process, driving the purchasing group to execute the implementation of the commodities strategies under your responsibility and recommend to the Purchasing and Supply Management Council initiatives for strategic sourcing. You will also lead the cross Volvo CE key suppliers relationships through Business Review Meetings to improve and excel their Quality - Delivery - Cost (QDC) performance, and meeting the Volvo CE business requirements. You will currently managing directly 2 commodity managers and develop and coach others on effective cross functional and inter-regional relationships, to behave and think on global scale and act locally; develop competency development towards sourcing excellence. Qualifications: Reporting to the Volvo Construction Equipment Vice-President of Purchasing and Supply Management, the incumbent for this role must have a highly developed sourcing and purchasing skill set Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced study in business, economics or purchasing considered a plus Minimum 10 years in Sourcing/Purchasing experience at Corporate or Divisional level with a minimum of 5 years in management Technology buying experience Multicultural skills and remote management ability is strongly required as our activities are spread around 12 locations and 9 countries Six Sigma green belt Knowledge of purchasing systems CPM certification or equivalent
