Cheesemaker/ Farm worker

The farm is 90 hectar, spread across cultivated land, graze and forest. At the farm there is 30 cows and 80 sheeps. In the spring there is approx. 150 sheeps due to lambs.
At the end of 2020 we started small cheese production, we make 3 different cheeses, hard cheese, white mosquito cheese and cream cheese. we also sell milk straight from the cow.

The farm is located nearby a lake where you can go fishing and borrow a kayak.

Job description:
The main task will be cheese making, from 08.00 too 15.00 (including 1 hour break) 3-4 days a week, but the candidate must also be willing to do normal farm work such as milking and feeding cows, three hours both mornings (06:00) and evenings (16:00). Sixt hours a day, 2-3 days a week.

It is demanded for the person to live at a rental apartment at the farm, to be disposable for adhoc tasks.
Candidates with experience in cheese making will be preferred.


Skills requirements:
Basic English on an understandable level is mandatory.
Work experience is a plus, but the main requirement is the interest in animals and willing to learn.
Tractor licence would be appreciated.


Other information:
Rent apartment at the farm from 3000 NOK / 300 EUR per month incl. electricity and fully furnished.
Also possible to rent a car (Hyundai Santa fe 2016) for 2000 NOK / 200 EUR oer month if necessary.
