Do you have a strong interest for sustainability, chemistry and the construction industry? To our R&D organisation, we are looking for a Chemical Engineer.
Responsibility
Working at Ecophon is characterized by teamwork and open communication. As Chemical Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with colleagues throughout most of the company. This is an independent specialist role covering a large scope, and a broad spectrum of tasks. Among others, your responsibility will include:
- Ownership of chemical inventory of all Ecophon raw materials and finished products. Support various parts of the organisation (R&D, marketing, sales, operations) with knowledge and expertise in this field.
- Responsibility for the coordination of all regulatory demands regarding chemical transparency and safety (safety datasheet, national building declaration platforms, commercial certifications, etc.)
- Responsibility for the coordination and documentation of VOC and fire testing
- Ownership of various raw materials used for the manufacturing of Ecophon products, such as paints or adhesives
- Close cooperation with suppliers and Ecophon production sites
- Participation in development projects of adhesives, paints or decorative painted surfaces with our suppliers, production sites and Product Development team
You will act as technical expert and support the organisation with knowledge and expertise in your field. This means you will have a close collaboration with colleagues from many areas of the company, from Market/Sales, to R&D and Production; both locally and globally. You will be part of a very passionate and knowledgeable R&D team which consists of 15 Engineers, and you are reporting to Product Engineering & Development Manager. This position is based in Hyllinge, outside Helsingborg.
Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a background in Chemical Engineering. Relevant background within Process Engineering is a plus. We appreciate previous experience within the paint or building material industry, but we are also willing to offer opportunities to young graduate looking to start a promising career.

Your personality can best be described as structured and collaborative. You possess high social skills and you easily develop strong and long-term relations with both colleagues and suppliers. You are an independent self-starter, and you like to work cross-functionally. Curiosity and creativity come natural to you when working with product development.
