About the position
Would you like to be part of a solution that will make a great difference for the nitrogen cleaning and recovery industry?
Today’s removal of nitrogen in waste flows is associated with high costs and sensitive biological processes. At the same time manufacturing of nitrogen fertilizers is associated with energy consumption and climate emissions.
One of our customers is now working on an important chemical process project, which changes this! Where a robust, climate friendly and cost-efficient process removes the nitrogen from waste flows and converts the removed nitrogen to products suitable for e.g. fertilizer production.
The project will lead to a full-scale commercial solution where findings from the project will be the source for changes and adaptations.
As part of this project we are now looking for a Chemical Process Operator to work on a consultancy assignment.
Assignment details:
Location: Lynetteholmen, Copenhagen at the demonstration wastewater treatment plant for nitrogen
purification
Period: Start week 15 (week commencing April 11th) until the end of September (no work in July)
Working hours: You need to be flexible with timings, shift work is expected
Language: The corporate language is English, and you are expected to have English at a proficient level
You will be receiving training in safety routines and learning in the control system and processes on-site.
You will be part of a small team, always working in pairs or threes to safely perform the work. You will have support from chemistry and process engineers on site who have designed and have the know-how of how the plant works.
The company also has a development department in Uppsala and an engineering department in Gothenburg who are ready to support if needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the process and control system on site at the wastewater treatment plant, to ensure efficient and safe output
- Follow standard operating procedures to identify and resolve issues during processing
- Troubleshoot and solve problems with equipment
- Respond to system notifications and makes required adjustments as needed
- Perform maintenance as and when needed
- Follow all procedures for safe material handling and required safety gear
- Perform measurements and analyses
Your profile
- You are a practical hands-on person
- You have some experience of chemical process operation
- You are a problem solver and have a logical thinking mind-set
- You understand that adhering to safety regulations comes first!
About the organisation
Our customer is a Swedish company formed in 2007, part of a privately held corporate group operating companies in four countries.
The company is R&D intensive and has developed several patented processes for recovering valuable materials from waste flows. It offers a range of solutions that help solve some of today's toughest and most critical problems relating to for example the recovery of phosphorus from sewage sludge, and the extraction of commercial salts from fly ash from waste incineration.
