Job Description

Beauty Production Quality Department is working with all brands within H&M Group who develop and produce private label cosmetics; we now have an open position to the quality team located in Sweden.
H&M Group does not own any factories or production plants; instead, H&M Group works with several independent cosmetic contract manufacturers located mainly in EU and Asia. As a chemist you will be responsible to support H&M Group’s assortment teams during product development, and for securing product quality and compliance. You follow the product from pre-brief stage to launch and on market. You will be working close together with our in-house chemist team, Quality Manager, Merchandisers, Product Developers, Marketing and our contract manufacturers.
The main responsibilities within the role are:
Support assortment teams during pre-brief phase, brief preparation and formula development
Understand H&M Group’s requirements and ensure they are followed throughout development and production
Secure that documentation is submitted to H&M from Suppliers in time
Secure assortment when legislation changes or a new sales market is entered
Manage cosmetics in-house use tests (plan, perform, and evaluate test result)
Review documents such as ingredient lists, Product information files, etc.
Support product registration




Qualifications


Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry
Have 4-5 years of work experience from the Cosmetic Industry; as a product developer or cosmetic chemist, working with formula science/development and/or quality assurance or manufacturing. Experience from regulatory affairs is an advantage
outgoing and enjoy teamwork
Have a genuine interest in cosmetic products
Analytical skills
Organized and can manage documentation and complex information
Hold a proactive approach and a positive mindset
Love to learn new things and are eager to support and guide others by sharing your knowledge and experience
