As a Chemist for H&M Beauty, you are a crucial part of developing new products where you support as a technical cosmetic advisor in both cross-functional projects and to individual ideas, drive and perform risk assessments and drive product certification processes to secure that we get the right product for the customer.
You support formulation by advising teams on viable claims and taking part in discussing functional aspects for new products. You review and evaluate supplier submissions as well as support copywriters with product attributes to communicate to the consumer and product information management.
On top of this you are a party of reviewing existing products in market, benchmark products and participate in other external forums to enhance product development skills. Your networking skills enable you to easily collaborate with our production offices and together with relevant departments, set good standards and workable test methods.
Your Responsibilities
Support Brand Manager in product development process with presenting relevant trends, market findings and risk assessments connected to requested claims, ingrediencies and formula for the assortment
In coordination with Brand Manager responsible to fill in "Product brief template" when it comes to formula, claims and ingredients
Coordinate with Chemists at our Production offices, Group Compliance department and suppliers through the product development process to secure viable claims
Develop and fill in "Product Fact Sheet" to make sure marketing department has appropriate customer communication
Constantly develop Chemist role and ensure efficient way of working tighter with all stakeholders

In addition to matching the personal profile we also seek the following qualifications:
Professional education in Chemistry
Experience in new product development in the cosmetics industry, ideally with time spent in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of understanding formulation
Knowledge of product performance and claim and their substantial
Knowledge of global beauty and industry trends
Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Additional information
This is a full-time assignment, based in Stockholm and you will report to Section Head Private Label.
