DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant who wants to be a part of our exciting journey to develop, improve and streamline our financial processes. Your main area of responsibility will be corporate accounting for two of our large companies within Schneider Electric Sverige AB.
You will be based in Solna and be part of the finance team in Sweden consisting of 11 highly skilled accountants and specialists. You will work closely with your accounting colleagues in the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as with our global shared service center in India.
Your tasks will include:
• Execution of monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with IFRS
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Annual report, income tax, and tax reporting
• Prepare financial statements according to schedule
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Help lead the implementation of best practices to simplify and standardize our processes
• Support external and internal audit requirements
• Review the work of the accounting team
• Participate in projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses
Your professional background
You have a master’s degree in economics or equivalent with a focus on accounting. You have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role. It is an advantage if you have been involved in developing and improving processes before. You have knowledge of Navision and SAP. You are fluent in both English and Swedish in speech as well as in writing. Very good knowledge of Excel is important.
