The Chief Accountant will together with the accounting team be responsible for:
• that both internal and external parties will get meaningful, accurate and timely legal entity financial information
• that the books are closed in a timely manner and according to the required quality standard set by the owners of the Finance processes
• completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for Volvo CE AB
• compliance with tax regulations, quality standards and standards of the partners
• being updated with all the latest changes in accounting policies and reporting requirements, and make sure these are implemented in Volvo CE AB reporting
ensure compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.)
• provide control and reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.)
for accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting etc.)
You will also work closely together with our colleagues in Accounting Services in Poland and India.
You will participate in and drive improvement work within our accounting processes. You will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.Your future team in Accounting and Financial Compliance
Within the Accounting & Financial Compliance department you will be a part of a team of 8 people with different specialist areas within accounting and tax. You will be located in Eskilstuna or Gothenburg . We work with passion, we trust each other, and we embrace change to stay ahead.

A big part of your job will be to support and drive change, therefore, you must work independently and feel engaged taking your own initiatives. We believe you have at least 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within auditing and some years of experience from working in a large international organization. You have good knowledge of Swedish. Since we are a global company, you also need to have good knowledge of English. If you have experience in working with SAP we see that as very positive.
