Financial Control & Accounting Volvo Trucks are responsible to secure the accounting and financial reporting for the Business Area Volvo Trucks, as well as secure the reporting and compliance for the 3 legal companies Volvo Lastvagnar AB, Volvo Lastvagnar Sverige AB and Volvo Truck Center Sweden AB. We are a high performing team with Chief Accountants and Financial Controllers who work in an open and positive atmosphere with passion and trust in each other.

Position Description


We are now recruiting a Chief Accountant for Volvo Lastvagnar Sverige AB. The job involves having functional leadership over several people that support Volvo Lastvagnar Sverige AB, both Swedish and international. You will also work together with Business Control and other functions at Volvo Trucks, which will give you a broad understanding of the business and the operation. You will thereby have the opportunity to work with and learn more about additional areas than your own area of expertise and to build a strong network both within FCA and within Volvo Trucks.

In this position you will also support Volvo Truck Center Bäckebol as Financial Controller and be part of the Volvo Trucks accounting team at FCA. As Chief Accountant and Financial Controller you are responsible for all compliance and quality when it comes to accounting matters for Volvo Lastvagnar Sverige AB and Volvo Truck Center Bäckebol. You have a structured mindset and enjoy working close to the business in a flexible environment. One key success factor, besides having a passion for accounting, is that you are a true team player and have particularly good networking skills.

The team is also providing day-to-day accounting support. You will participate in development work aiming to increase efficiency and effectiveness in our ways of working. You have a solid interest in adding value to the accounting function, in continuous improvement work and in improving efficiency by effective use of tools. As Chief Accountant and Financial Controller you drive these issues. You also secure the complete income statement and balance sheet. Skills and qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration or similar education and a minimum of five years within the field of advanced accounting
Analytical, structured with attention to details, ability to work independently
Ability to prioritize and with strong commitment to get things done
Proactive, service minded with high integrity
Enjoy working in teams and contributing to a positive atmosphere
Fluent in written and spoken English as well as Swedish.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel)
Knowledge of Microsoft 365. Power BI is considered a plus.
Knowledge about / experience from working in an accounting system (SAP or similar)
Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
Passion for continuously improving accounting and reporting
