Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The world is changing every day and faster than ever before. Companies across the entire transport industry are looking to new markets and new technologies to stay ahead of competition.
Scania is establishing its third industrial hub in China in an effort to expand in our eastern markets. These markets have different legal requirements, different ways of using our products and therefore requires a different perspective on a complete vehicle level - and this is equally important for our combustion powered and electrified products.
The group Complete Vehicle Architecture, RVLA, is working in the middle of this, and we are looking for a chief architect / vehicle concept leader to help Scania define its future product offering in China.
What’s in it for you?
Focusing on Scanias and TRATONs future offering in China, you will create a great understanding of our current and future complete vehicle composition and how this best meets the demands of our future customers in China and Asia.
In this role you will act as a spider-in-the-web, connecting people and building a wide network. You will lead project groups with high technical complexity, managing complex questions and property trade-offs on a complete vehicle level. You will need to clarify this complexity to all organizational levels.
The group consists of 11 people, split evenly between chief architects and a prototype workshop. The team members are experienced profiles and we always strive for an environment where problems can be openly discussed and handled as a team. There is plenty of room to grow in this role; personally, technically and as a leader.
Your profile
The group is a main driver in leading and ensuring the efficiency of the entire modular system – a great task that requires great people.
• You have a Technical university degree
• You are an analytical and creative problem solver, able to focus on the bigger modular picture and its details at the same time
• You are familiar with the modular system as a concept
• You have a strategic mindset, with at least a couple of years of work experience
• You have a good personal drive and an ability to drive complexity independently
• And most importantly - you are looking to continue to learn, develop and challenge yourself
We offer
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer other benefits such as distance working in Sweden, company car, company-performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania JobExpress.
