In response to the fast electrification of mobility, which is taking place around in Europe, Senior Material has established its European subsidiary, Senior Material (Europe) AB, in Eskilstuna. A large-scale manufacturing plant, which will be equipped with high-automated production lines of both wet-process base film and coating, has left the drawing table and will be realized in coming years. To this exciting project, we are inviting you to join our stellar team in Eskilstuna to build the first-ever factory of lithium-ion battery separator in Sweden. Role and Responsibilities:
§ As Chief Equipment Engineer (non-managerial role) you will be an important part of the local project management team and a member in the global PMO of the European plant construction at our headquarters.
§ Providing technical lead in clean &dry room construction, power supply - and process utilities engineering as well as manufacturing equipment engineering.
§ Executing engineering activities utilizing established processes, tools, and guidelines at Senior’s plants in China.
§ Executing project activities (engineering, package management and project engineering) and deliverables to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets.
§ Participating in competence development of the plant engineering & maintenance function at Senior Europe.
Background and Skills:
To be successful in this role, we want
§ You have technical-leading experience of large size plant planning and construction, preferably from li-ion battery separator film manufacturing industry.
§ you are experts in one of the following areas: battery separator film manufacturing equipment, process utilities, industrial clean & dry room or industrial automation.
§ You have deep knowledge in separator film manufacturing process and familiar with li-ion battery industry.
§ You are a particularly good communicator in an international environment, with necessary language skills.
Personal Qualifications:
§ Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline, master's degree preferred.
§ Minimum 10 years’ experience in lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing industry.
§ Proven track record of engineering project of plant planning and construction
§ Result oriented, good sense of structure, proactive, and driving.
§ Team player who embraces responsibility and wants to be part of a winning team.
§ Both English and Chinese are required, Japanese or German is a plus
