Carla was founded in 2020, with strong VC backing. Our founders and C-level management have experience from companies like Google, Spotify, McKinsey, H&M, Hedvig, Uber, Volvo Cars, and Lifesum.

COO Role Description
We’re looking for a collaborative and results-oriented COO, looking to scale one of the fastest-growing startups in Scandinavia - ever. Your job will be to lead, scale and run a stellar operations function. You will be responsible for ensuring our teams meet daily operations goals, while setting the strategic direction to ensure we meet Carla’s long term goals.

Carla is growing at the speed of light, and we are currently looking for an experienced COO to join the Stockholm HQ and our management team. Since Carla will soon expand both vertically and geographically, we are looking for someone to support us in this exciting growth phase.
Role Description
Carla’s mission is to make more people drive electric cars. Everything we do is built upon combining customer obsession, technology, and physical infrastructure. Within the Operations team, there are currently three main functions: Production of cars (from inspection to repairs to photography), Logistics (pick-up and deliveries) and Support. As we are building tools and capabilities in-house, we are on a constant look out to also commercialize those by offering them to other companies and end-consumers. Your task will be to ensure that our teams have the right strategies, tools and resources in place to make this happen - always with a focus on cost, lead time and most importantly: customer experience. The Operations team currently consists of approximately 50 people, and is not only the core and heart of Carla, but also the fastest-growing and biggest team in the company. Carla is a scale-up where some things are in place, others are not. We are looking for someone who knows what great looks like, and who is exceptional at leading others, but at the same time is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves when things need to get done. Last but not least, we are also looking for a new member to our management team, to help us take Carla to the next level.
Concrete examples for work tasks connected to responsibilities:
- Across our Operations areas, help find the right balance and drive performance, identify cost opportunities, and secure lead time efficiency
- Make Carla into the number one employer of choice within the automotive workshop/logistics industry in the Nordics
- Own the budget for all Operations related costs (and future revenues)
- Ensure we have the right people, processes and physical locations to Produce cars - from inspection to repairs and photography
- Help build up our Logistics function to secure timely, cost efficient pick-up and deliveries, always giving customers a “wow experience”
- Identify opportunities to further strengthen our Support organization
- Partner with our Product and Engineering teams to build best-in-class digital tools that are tailor made to Carlas challenges and opportunities
- Drive growth through market expansion and identifying opportunities to commercialize internal capabilities
- Implementing strategies and processes to secure capacity, scalability and delivering a world-class customer experience
We believe that the ideal candidate has:
- 10+ years of experience from having teams with direct reports, i.e. managing direct reports with their own team
- +5 years’ experience from logistics, manufacturing, industry/engineering
- +5 years’ experience from tech-driven organizations
- Experience from scaling up companies across more than one market and country
- Experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, e-commerce fulfillment, home delivery/last mile operations
- Academic degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent
Language skills
- Fluent in English
