Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Your place of work will be at our main office and hangar facility. This is located at Säve Airport in Gothenburg, Sweden. Relocation assistance can be provided. Role Overview

Heart Aerospace is growing and searching for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join our team with a focus on operationalizing our mission to commercialize the world’s first all-electric airliner. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience within the aerospace industry, with the right mix of business and management expertise to develop and lead our team to be efficient, productive, and effective. This role reports to our CEO and will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

Your key responsibilities would include:

Establish, develop, and directly oversee the functional teams of Program Office, Operational Excellence, Quality Assurance, Production Organisation, Supply Chain Management, Customer Support and Maintenance Organisation.

Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team in setting up and driving Heart’s organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring needs.

Develop actionable organization-wide plans, incorporating goal setting and performance management that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term operational objectives, developed in tandem with the leadership team.

Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.

Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, partners, and other stakeholders.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.

5+ years experience in an aerospace industry leadership position, leading a production organisation / manufacturing site or similar.

Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills
