TATAA Biocenter AB provides laboratory services and products. The Company’s laboratory services include a broad range of nucleic acid analysis services including PCR, NGS, and proteomics, which are outsourced by a broad customer base including big pharma, biotech and academic customers. TATAA also has a product business segment which includes distribution of molecular biology reagents and consumables, which are developed by TATAA’s internal research and development group. The Company was founded in 2001 by Dr. Mikael Kubista (“Dr. Kubista”; current CEO) and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dr. Kubista and his team have been working in the PCR field since 1991 when they started out developing dyes and probes that became fluorescent upon binding with DNA. Dr. Kubista (who was the Molecular Biotechnology Department Head at Chalmers) and his team spun out of university to create TATAA as a center of excellence in PCR and gene expression analysis in 2001.
Since inception, TATAA has grown to a team of more than >50 employees and has serviced blue-chip customers such as AstraZeneca since their founding. While the Company was originally focused on the training incoming scientists at local biopharma companies, their courses today are solely a marketing mechanism for its services and products segments. The Company has a history of developing new technologies and remaining at the forefront of innovation: TATAA entered the field of NGS in 2015, invented the Two-Tailed PCR methodology (a novel methodology to amplify short nucleic acid molecules for the analysis of micro-RNA and DNA) in 2017, and developed Direct Blood Genotyping (technology for point of care genetic testing) in 2018.
In April 2021, TATAA received a significant equity investment from an institutional life sciences investment firm to support TATAA’s ambition of defining market leadership in the cell and gene therapy services sector. Now, with our employee base and revenue both having doubled over the past year, we are seeking a Chief People Officer to add to our Management Team who is based in Gothenburg.

We are seeking a Chief People Officer to add to our Management Team who is based in Gothenburg.
This is a key role developing the organization, the people and the business. The Chief People Officer will be responsible for driving the business strategy implementation on HR related topics, the ongoing people development work with the management and all hands-on HR related processes.
Responsibilities:
• Support Management on all HR issues / data, direction, issues and needs in relation to overall strategy
• Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management strategy (Increasing Employer Branding and handling extensive recruiting doubling in 2 years).
• Compensation and Benefits strategy - Solution for salary & pay revisions (new employees higher salaried).
• Support International buildup of Business Development function in western countries
• Handle difficult people issues and set policies
• Define relevant HR systems and quality processes enabling growth

Profile and experience:
