Being part of Battery Optimization and Monitoring – Technology
Battery Optimization and Monitoring – Technology is a function within Volvo Energy that works with second life applications of vehicle battery packs, monitoring and data analytics, optimization of remaining useful life, battery safety and new offerings for stationary Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Working in very close cooperation with our colleagues from Volvo Group and especially Group Trucks Technology, we create new business offer opportunities as well as value propositions.


What are we looking for in this specific role?
We are now looking for a Chief Project Manager (CPM). In this role, you will be responsible for managing cross functional BESS development project(s) and for the overall delivery and timing of them. You will do that according to agile Volvo Energy methodologies, with a strong external partnership approach and internal cross-functional focus, securing all relevant stakeholders are well contributing in the success of the assigned project(s).


Additional responsibilities will include among others:
Lead the work to ensure progress and deliveries according to set plans
Create, maintain, and align main time plan.
Manage project cost and product competitiveness
Drive and coordinate balancing, issue solving between functions, stakeholders and experts.
Drive data gathering and analysis as needed
Prepare and present gate reviews and material. Release funding.
Secure project documentation and stakeholders commitment
Identify risks and manage them
Update and manage stakeholders
Identify lessons learned

Qualifications likely required to be successful
University degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial/project engineering or equivalent experience
Proven experience of delivering projects involving external partners and cross-functional teams
Experience/knowledge in Li-Ion battery and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems and/or Energy Systems
Fluent in English, written and spoken

The location for the position will be Gothenburg in Sweden.
