About our R&D – Platform Software Services
Our R&D consists of SW Engineers with both a holistic understanding of SW architecture and commitment to details and quality code. We are responsible for governing API and application architecture for the software in the Vehicle Control Unit. We set deliverables, frameworks, patterns, and policies that are fundamental for other development teams to build with consensus. We are also responsible for the SW build tools & CI pipelines and act as development support by working together with teams to succeed with development and integration.
Role Specifics:
We are honored to have been entrusted with responsibilities so central to the success of the project, and are now looking forward to welcoming a new colleague who would take responsibilities that include adding new features to Core System tools, handling Core System modules repository and product configuration git. Documenting how to use CI and tools, and further enhancing the CI systems of the Core System Environment. Supporting other teams on how to use CI and tools. Being a driver in setting branching strategies, including determining how to branch off and when branching off is required. Understanding and guide the build of several parallel integration pipelines. Setting integration strategies both for the local teams and for integration into the complete VCC CI-flow. You should also be able to support the team with hands-on work when needed. Coach the CI/test-teams with respect to time vs test coverage on each level
Required qualifications:
We will wish for you to be practical and pragmatic by nature. Being an efficient communicator is critical to successfully advise and support other teams. The following experience is required:
• Development in CI systems
• System integration
• Software/Tools development in python
• Configuration Management experience.
• Stakeholder Relationship
Preferred skills:
• C++ and CMake, Bazel, Zuul/ Ansible, and/or ConfigHub/Artifactory
