Interested to lead in cloud-native technologies? Excellent, as we are now looking for creative, energetic, out of the box leaders to join our newest product development unit. We are embracing a start-up mentality to deliver our product with better customer experience and increased organizational efficiency.
Product development unit (PDU) Cloud Radio Access Network is a new organization that will be leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with commercial engagements starting during 2020. The new PDU will contain in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to open-source communities in Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP).
A culture and spirit of strong collaboration across the different product/line/project entities is of vital importance to be able to benefit from the R&D efficiency improvements we could gain from cloud native technology, COTS (Commercial off-the-shelf) development environment and an efficient continues integration and continues deployment (CI/CD) pipeline in the end-to-end flow.
Our CI/CD and System integration department plays a strategic role in making sure that the Cloud Radio Access Network solutions meet our customers’ expectations.
Our mission is to:
Continuously improve quality assurance
From the hardware up to the microservices
From functionally (end-to-end features) and non-functionally (serviceability, performance, robustness)
By knowing and showing at any time
Quality indicators such as test coverage and pass rates
Fault slip-through analysis and improvements needed
And supporting the microservice teams to deliver
Microservices directly into any customer network configuration
As-a-Product for classic customers
Quickly and efficient by
Consulting and mentoring end-to-end teams in test and integration
Automating anything that can be automated
Providing test environments and tools just in time
Providing feedback that allows quick troubleshooting and resolution
You will
Be part of the Continues Integration and Continues Deployment (CI/CD) team in Kista
Provide CI/CD services that enables rapid end-to-end development of Ericsson products through open-source technologies, high-quality work, and an innovative and service-oriented mindset
Work closely with the CI/CD team in Ottawa to enable follow the sun support
Ambition for the team is to:
Be involved across all stages of the product life cycle
Create the CI/CD solutions for different products
Create customer and internal feedback loops to enable DevOps
Create Intelligent analysis (AI/ML) of production environment data to optimize our flows
Create metrics visualization
Create customer trials/demos/presentations
To be successful in the role you have
Proven technical knowledge in the CI/CD and containers domain for example working with Jenkins, Spinnaker, GITLAB, GIT, Gerrit, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK or similar tools
Ability to work transparently where we share our learning to secure that we as a team always are learning
Ability to always keep a CI/CD mindset and incorporated automation right at the very beginning
A service-minded mindset, the team is there to lend a hand when problems arise. We have a service-minded orientation and help within and outside the team boundaries
Drive and embrace innovation and change with a collaborative mindset
Strong drive towards achievements, delivery timelines
