Who we are.

The Charging & Energy Management team is organised within the unit Advanced Technology & Sustainability. We are responsible for accelerating the shift towards a fully electric and sustainable future by bringing new mobility offers and services to our consumers, from strategy definition to offer launch. We are also responsible for adding new business with the objective to improve sustainability, expand our current scope and support our growth.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Circular Battery Manager who will lead the Circular Battery team, responsible for building a new global business vertical around circular batteries and storage.  

You will define our Circular Battery Strategy, in close collaboration with our Global Sustainability Team. To do so, you will set our needs and requirements throughout the battery lifecycle – from launch to end of life – enabling battery control and take back, repurposing and recycling. You will enable, with support from various internal stakeholders, retention throughout the car and battery ownership cycles, evaluate alternative business models as well as create circular flows and end consumer offers. Together with your team, you will also be responsible for the definition of our long-term battery recycling strategy, enabling closed loop of recycled materials and content into new battery production. 

You and your skills

* You are a customer-obsessed leader for your consumer products and offers areas, and accountable for its success. 
* You have a relevant university degree at master’s level and about 8 years of experience from positions in different industrial sectors of which some at senior level.
* You have a broad understanding of business realities and complex value chain in the automotive industry.
* You have a proven track record of change management, and experience from implementing large scale change programs in big companies with complex organizational structures.
* You have experience from strategy establishment, preferably within the electrification or battery area.
* You are structured, data driven, results oriented with strong leadership and analytical skills. 
* You are a good communicator with full command of English (in writing and speaking).
