This is us, your new colleagues
You will be an important part of the City Mobility business development team in Volvo Buses! Together we support city solutions development to all our markets around the globe. Electromobility and its related solutions are the focused area. Automation and other operational solutions that support our customer’s daily sustainable business is also on our agenda. On a daily basis we are involved in different projects and customer dialogues i.e. traffic analysis, battery second life, battery optimization, sustainability, charging solutions, depot operations and so on. Our daily work is performed in a wide cross functional network of functions and people both within Volvo Buses, Volvo Group, and external stake holders.


Our team consist of four people with a great variation of background and knowledge. You will report to the Director of City mobility Business Development.


Role description
You will provide our global commercial community and our customers with knowledge and competence in sustainable city mobility solutions.
The solutions have a high degree of complexity where traffic operation, energy usage, battery optimization, charging, life cycle assessments, circularity and cost benefit analysis are all important parameters to be considered. We work in a highly dynamic environment where new solutions are continuously created in dialogues with colleagues and customers.


You will be responsible for:
Analyzing Customer’s Traffic operation and ESS and charging optimization to find best solution for the customer
Circularity and Sustainability support to our customers from their point of view, to deliver awareness and knowledge to our customers and other stake holders
Integrator between customer and development – to translate the market needs to our business solutions



Due to a developing environment with constant changes, the feedback loop of experience and knowledge into the development network is an important responsibility in this position and to give updates of our market support tools.


Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this position we believe you need to be curious, well organized and have great networking skills. Since we are functioning in a highly dynamic environment, you like to drive change and are a true team player, contributing to a good team spirit. Your communication skills are also of great importance, where you like to summarize, analyze, and present data and information to various stakeholders.


You as a person is very interested in new technologies and you are driven by the commercial side attached to it. If you have a good business understanding from Public Transport or/and battery technology, it will be an advantage. As we are a truly global and diverse company, most of your meetings and emails will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English. Other language skills are also a value in this global function.
