Nordex Finland is now looking for a Civil Project Engineer that can be based in either Uppsala, Sweden or in Helsinki, Finland.
YOUR TASKS
Responsibilities:
Detailed engineering of onshore wind turbine foundations, access roads and crane hard stands.
Review of the foundation design
Recognizing possible cost-saving opportunities.
Review of the relevant sections of the contract agreements and the permit requirements.
Clarification of open issues with the contract partners regarding civil topics.
Identifying deficiencies or potential risks/claims regarding civil topics.
Review of the execution quality documentation
Site visits during construction to report the foundation´s technical validity, feasibility or compliance with agreed guidelines, specifications and design.
Support for planning access roads and crane hard standing areas, delivery, storage and installations in the course of establishing the infrastructure for wind farms.
YOUR PROFILE
A good degree in civil or structural engineering
Minimum of 3 years´ experience in civil works project management, ideallywithin wind industry or bridges
Good understanding of geotechnical issues and of soils.
Good understanding of concrete fatigue calculations.
Familiar with the wind turbine transport requirements.
Experience in international project teams and business.
Good interpersonal skills leading to high level results within an international team.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with various project teams and internal/external partners.
Fluent in written and spoken in English (Swedish or Finnish would be an advantage)
