Cleaning/Housekeeping Abisko Guesthouse

We are looking for 2 cleaners to replenish our team during spring- winter and summer.
Who are we, and what can we offer you?
We at Abisko guesthouse are a small and close-knit team, who help each other to ensure that our guests have a fantastic experience. We are cozy hotel with good guest contact, and it is important to us that all our guests feel well taken care of.
Our guests, and staff, come here to experience the amazing mountains of Lapland. Most people are here to experience the northern lights, midnight sun, snowmobiling, fishing and/ or the northern culture. Almost outside the door to our guesthouse (and staff accommodation) you will find Abisko National Park. Here, mighty mountains frame the striking Abisko valley and Scandinavia's largest mountain lake, - Torneträsk. The start, or end, of Sweden's perhaps best hiking trail, Kungsleden, can be found here with us in Abisko.
Within walking distance of your accommodation you will find the easily accessible mountain Njullá, known for its wealth of flowers, and close by you will find the famous Troll lake. During summer, there are absolutely fantastic hiking trails, and in early spring it is snowmobile and skiing that applies. The national park with everything it has to offer is just around the corner.
We offer staff accommodation to all our staff in close proximity to our guesthouse. It means many advantages to live in the middle of the mountain world, with proximity to nature for us outdoor people
Who are you?
We would like you to be a service-minded and easy-going person. The job mainly involves cleaning, but guests often have questions and then you are our face towards the guest. It is very important for us to have good service towards our guests, so service needs to come natural for you.
You must be able to use English in both speech and writing, as the vast majority of our guests are international. Other languages are considered a bonus.
Since we are a small team, it is important that you are a team player who can help with tasks even outside your usual daily tasks. It is a big part of our company culture that everyone is willing to help each other when needed.
The job
We are responsible for cleaning the guesthouse and some other premises in the immediate area. We have many fixed assignments in cleaning, while the hotel has different occupancy at different times. We therefore want you to be flexible with good time management.
We have fixed routines and teach you on site, but are always open to suggestions for improvement. We see it as an advantage if you have previous experience of cleaning and enjoy the work. We use the usual tools and the job requires some physical effort but no heavy lifting. Since we are a guesthouse , we do not make the beds but only present sheets and towels for our guests.
