Climate A&V - Analysis engineer

The Climate Analysis & Verification department has a global responsibility for testing and analysis of interior climate within Volvo Cars. We act as a competence center and deal with all aspects of interior climate such as heating and ventilation, the air conditioning loop and defrosting capacity. Climate comfort is tested in rigs (HILs, climate chambers and wind tunnels) and on the road at a large variety of places, for instance around Gothenburg, in the north of Sweden, in Spain and in the US. Today, we face new challenges in terms of achieving good interior climate with improved energy efficiency and we are strongly affected and involved in new types of power trains. We are 27 people and the group is a part of Climate Control Systems department.
The groups' responsibility is to receive requirements from the clients whom could be the function owners, the attribute leaders or from projects, and test & verify the systems or attributes. We do virtual tests, physical tests in climate chambers, climate tunnels at rigs or on the road. As an Analysis Engineer you will be working both in team and independent along all stages of project and run tests in cars on the road or climatic tunnels and also in system rigs. The work is carried out in close cooperation with attribute leaders, controls engineers and function owners.
Responsibilities
* Setting up measurement systems to be used
* Carry out rig tests
* Carry out road testing activities
* Analysis of results
* Issuing failure reports (VQDC, FLOW, etc.) to the concerned node owner
* Results reporting, e.g. oral and written conclusions and recommendation
* Continuous work with testing codes and procedures is part of the job
Required qualifications
* MSc or BSc within electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar university degree
* Experience from analysis of tests and technical solutions
* Experience from functional and SW testing
* English, both written and spoken
* Driver's license valid in Sweden
* Ability to travel
* Experience from work with hybrid or electric vehicles is meritorious
* Experience from work with vehicle networks and development/diagnosis tools for vehicle software's is meritorious

* High analytical skills
* Ability to prioritise between different tasks and to keep deadlines
* Like to work in teams
* Ability to manage tasks with greatest sense of responsibility
