Össur Academy is our team of highly trained clinical specialist prosthetists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and technicians. Össur Academy offers valuable education, training and certification opportunities to improve the quality of prosthetic and orthopedic knowledge among healthcare professionals.
We are looking for a Clinical Specialist/Physiotherapist for Össur Nordic, as part of the North Europe Össur Academy. We are active in all Nordic countries, but we are also part of the North Europe/Europe business area, which currently consist of 20 employees. The position is based either in Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland, and you will report to the North Europe Academy Lead, based in the UK. Travels within the Nordic region is required in this position, but also within Europe.
Your responsibilities
As a clinical specialist physiotherapist in the Össur Academy, you will be responsible for providing high quality physiotherapy training to both customers and their users. You will work to maximize Össur Nordics visibility within the customer environment and support the sales team in achieving set goals, by interpreting the customer’s and user’s clinical requirements and market trends. The role also involves initiating, supporting and maintaining clinical relationships with prescribers, strategic customers, physiotherapists and payer related instances. You will also contribute to Össur Academy activities and be responsible for the development and implementation of educational programs addressing internal and external requirements. Some examples of your tasks:
Support prosthetic trial fittings with the clinical team around the Nordics region
Work with centre based physiotherapists to enhance their understanding of physiotherapy training with Össur products
Run physiotherapy training courses and present at conferences when required
Interact with customers concerning product support and development
Practical training of bionic products to customers throughout the Nordics
Support the customer care and sales team with clinical issues
Participate in internal training provision for sales managers and customer service
Support scientific and clinical studies
Promote technical and clinical innovation
Advise and support medical marketing and associated campaigns
Work collaboratively with clinical specialists within Össur to find solutions to related issues and challenges
Your profile
You have qualification in Physiotherapy at degree level or equivalent, state registered Physiotherapist and minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable position. You feel comfortable working in an intensive patient fitting environment. You have computer skills in Office365. You have excellent communication skills in both English and one of the Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian). It is meritorious if you have experience of working within prosthetics.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and you have the ability to work effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team. You also have effective organisational, time management, planning and presentations skills. You’re a true people-person, self-motivated, business driven, problem solving oriented and results-oriented.
