RaySearch develops a suite of cancer care software, and we are now looking to add more talented employees to our oncology information system RayCare, specifically to our treatment integration team which is responsible for the development of integrations with third-party treatment delivery devices.

About RayCare

RayCare is a client-server application that runs on premises at many clinics all over the world. RayCare takes care of and helps clinical staff to coordinate their work at the clinic. For example, workflow management, patient chart details and treatment management. RayCare is an innovative oncology information system (OIS) designed to support the complex challenges of modern oncology clinics. It is developed to streamline workflows in cancer clinics to facilitate efficient care faster to more patients. RayCare is used by all staff at the clinic, e.g., physicians, physicists, treatment planners etc. and is used in all steps of patient care, from registration to radiation treatment at the treatment machine and for treatment follow-up. RayCare is integrated with RayStation and its treatment tools but also with external products and supports communication via HL7 as well as DICOM.

In the Treatment Integrations team, you will validate and provide feedback on RayCare's integrations with external third-party treatment delivery devices. As part of the Treatment Integrations team, you will have the opportunity to work on a crucial part of the system while gaining insights into various treatment devices, their capabilities, and their integration. Collaborating with talented colleagues, you will contribute to creating high-quality, reliable, and safe integrations.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Validation Specialist, you will work closely with integration developers and treatment device vendors and play a key role in ensuring the clinical accuracy, safety, and usability of RayCare’s integrations with third-party treatment delivery devices. You will verify that the software meets requirements and validate clinical workflows, ensuring it aligns with real-world clinical use cases. You will also help identify potential gaps in functionality or safety. Working as part of the treatment integration development team, you will design and execute test cases using treatment simulators and onsite devices, analyze results, provide actionable feedback, and report deviations.

Your profile

You have a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach, enabling you to evaluate complex clinical workflows and ensure their accurate representation in software, identify discrepancies and assess the real-world impact of proposed solutions. You have knowledge of the treatment planning workflow and its effect on treatment course design and delivery. By taking ownership of your work, you ensure that every aspect of the clinical verification and validation process is thoroughly executed from test design to reporting results. You value collaboration and share clinical insights to improve the different treatment integrations.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics or equivalent.

• Experience with medical software and integration testing in a medical software setting.

• Clinical experience in Radiotherapy and treatment delivery including Oncology Information Systems and Treatment Planning Systems (at least 2 years).

• Experience working with radiotherapy treatment delivery devices .

• Ability to travel to different locations for onsite validation and testing with vendors and clinical users.

• Detailed oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English, both in written and spoken.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative when performing validations in clinical settings.

• Analyze complex workflows and define test cases.
