Cloetta’s Supply Chain division is responsible for production, purchasing, planning, logistics, quality, technology and safety. In Cloetta’s Supply Chain division are 7 factories in Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia and Ireland. All in all, Cloetta produces about 120.000 ton of confectionery and is constantly striving for continuous improvements trough Lean and Value Engineering.
Key responsibilities
The Group Project Engineering Manager leads and drives the development and execution of the technology roadmaps for the product categories they are responsible for.
Works seamless together with the sites creating the asset roadmaps, operating plan and project preparation and execution. Works as one team in the triangle Operations, Engineering and VE being the key driver for success.
Has a close working relation with Strategy Deployment and Innovation to translate innovations in concepts in technical designs resulting in factory line designs.
Develops engineering processes like: Project Management, Masterplanning, Capex write-up and approval. Ownership of the Capex handbook as key part to capture is part of this area of responsibility.
Represents engineering as partner in the Cloetta Stage & Gate process, Cash Flow management and other relevant processes.
With the direct and indirect engineering team development influences strongly the Engineering journey creating the future of people, technology and assets as jigsaw piece of the One Cloetta Perfect Factory.
The position also includes the development of the company 3-year capex plan in close cooperation with the factory teams, partnering with Innovation and key equipment suppliers.
This will include:
Understanding the innovation and demands plans.
Develop and partner with key equipment suppliers to implement CAPEX effectively including standardizing maintenance.
Procurement of assets and spare parts in CAPEXs
New technology and process design.
Operability of the designs on close collaboration with operations and Opex teams.
Supporting the plants to develop and execute the 3 year CAPEX and OP plans.
Managing a number of external Project Managers
Has a dotted line to plant Project Engineers


As Group Project Engineering Manager your main responsibilities are:
Develop & Standardize
Lead the asset roadmap development and optimization studies, identifying and capturing best practices to convert into standards. Create the best technical designs creating our perfect factory.
Identifying new technologies and technical solutions, validating them and by that contributing to capable, measurable and repeatable production lines ready for the future. When proven implement the standards across all Cloetta factories.
Drives our sustainability agenda as key player in asset development and long term investments


CAPEX implementation for the business & support local plants
Responsible for the execution of the company 3-year CAPEX program
Responsible for the alignment of the category marketing and demand plans with the category investment plan
Responsible for developing the CAPEX resourcing and the approved supplier list in close collaboration with procurement
Responsible to ensure our CAPEX projects are legally compliant
Responsible to ensure our processes are design and controlled in a safe and effective manner
Accountable for the process design from process specifications to process commissioning
Responsible for resourcing the CAPEX plans include management of all external resources
Develops the technical suppliers, design companies and external engineering support


Team Development
Direct lead of 2 central capex engineers
Maintains the engineering and technical community of factories teams.
Transferring Engineering knowledge Cloetta wide.
Cooperating with other teams as Strategy Deployment, Quality & Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environment, Operational Excellence, Value Engineering and Innovation.
As Central Engineering Leadership team member active participation in developing Engineering within Cloetta.


Job requirements
Bachelor or Master degree engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in an engineering execution role.
Thorough knowledge of regulations, compliance, legal and governance requirements in relation to engineering management
Understanding of food production processes and packaging machine/line automation.
Solid Project management skills.
Fluent in business English
International travel up to 50%, within Europe.
