Foundational Products is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.


Foundational Products are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

The Cloud Foundational Product is now looking for a Cloud Adoption Manager
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Cloud within Foundational Products. The Cloud team has the responsibility for driving the development of the Cloud products portfolio by identifying and prioritizing requirements and working closely with Infrastructure & Onsite Services who oversees the technical development. This team is also in charge of the Cloud adoption across the Digital & IT community.
We are creating this new Cloud Adoption Manager position to support our growth as well as continuous improvement in the Cloud Adoption area.


This is how you can make an impact
As Cloud Adoption Manager, you will have the full responsibility for our Cloud Adoption practice which means that you will be the line manager for our global team of Cloud Adoption engineers (currently located in India, Poland, Sweden and France) as well as Product Owner for the Cloud Adoption service.


These will be your main responsibilities
Lead, develop and attract a team of talented Cloud engineers, supporting their personal growth and challenges on assignments.
Manage capacity planning, ensuring short and long-term competence and capacity of the Cloud Adoption team.
Drive continuous improvement of the Cloud Adoption service as Product Owner
Define Cloud Adoption service strategy and roadmap.
Develop epics and user stories based on joint understanding of user personas and stories (including definition of acceptance criteria)​.
Manage product backlog (clearly prioritize ideas, ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all).
Communicate business priorities to your product team, collects their view and drives efficient development.
Be the ambassador for the Cloud Adoption team across the organization

To be successful in this position we believe you have
A university degree or equivalent.
Several years of experience working with IT – ideally Cloud computing - with interest for “modern IT”.
Experience of leadership in line organizations or projects
A passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.
Solid communication and coordination skills
You are a proactive problem solver with innovative thinking and a strong team player
You have experience working in a global context and communicate fluently in English

You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster, and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
